Everyday experiences meet art and technology, creating endless possibilities for imagination.
The "Sensing Prensence" project brings together seven local artists, each with their own unique theme, to lead workshops and activities in five local secondary schools. Using innovative media practices such as sound sampling, 3D printing, augmented reality (AR), and mixed media, students are guided to explore the diverse aspects of their communities. By focusing on community characteristics, the pulse of the city, and their personal stories, students transform their observations into both tangible and digital artworks. Through collaborative creation and artistic experimentation, they uncover objects and sounds in their environment, express their imaginations, and produce three-dimensional and interactive pieces. This process encourages students to rediscover their connections and sense of identity within their communities.
All the works will be showcased at the Quarryside in Quarry Bay, allowing the public to experience the artworks firsthand.
