Orlean Lai graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and is currently an independent curator and producer. She has focused on cross-media art administration and curation for many years. As the founder of orleanlaiproject, she emphasizes “hybrid collaboration” in interdisciplinary partnerships, exploring mixed possibilities of presentation formats and blurring the boundaries between art genres and media. In 2019, she established a new organization, “No Discipline Limited”, which invites various cultural and artistic practitioners to participate in different collaboratively curated projects. This initiative aims to discuss contemporary art and performance from broader perspectives. Orlean was also a recipient of the Asian Cultural Council Fellowship in 2016.
