All artistic concepts begin with observation. In this workshop, artist Lazarus Chan activates students’ power of observation by first having them use microscopes in small groups to observe their surroundings—any object. He then introduces various new media art tools, such as 3D modelling, multisensory design, bionics, and basic systems thinking. Combining bionics and AI ethics reflections, they will ultimately co-create works featuring virtual interactive experiences.
